Dragflick Newsdesk : The Worldwide Hockey Federation (FIH) introduced groups for the Birmingham Commonwealth Video games and each the Malaysian groups have been conspicuously lacking from the listing.
Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) determined to not ship their women and men’s groups to Birmingham from July 28-Aug 8 as a result of they need to focus on the Asian Video games, scheduled a month later.
Head Coach of the Males’s Hockey workforce, Arulselvaraj stated the nationwide workforce would concentrate on the Asian Video games from Sept 10-25 in Hangzhou, China and took full accountability for the choice to skip the Birmingham Video games.
He stated the hole between the Commonwealth and Asian Video games was solely 33 days, which was too quick for preparation and restoration.
“The timeline between Commonwealth and Asian Video games is brief. We now have to take care of the Covid-19 normal working process and quarantine,” stated Arulselvaraj.
“We don’t have an enormous pool of gamers in comparison with the Indian and Australian groups. And we don’t need any of our key gamers to have main accidents and there’s the Covid-19 risk too.
“Contemplating all these, we determined to not make the journey to Birmingham and concentrate on the Asian Video games in China.”
