Injured Vancouver Canucks star centre Elias Pettersson is perhaps again within the lineup as quickly as Thursday, coach Bruce Boudreau mentioned Tuesday.
“He’s day-to-day,” Boudreau instructed reporters. “This isn’t a long-term factor with him. … Hopefully, Thursday he’ll be capable to play.”
Pettersson reportedly has an upper-body harm and missed an non-obligatory sport skate Sunday, to which Boudreau cited as “simply upkeep,” and that evening’s sport towards the Tampa Bay Lightning. Pettersson had performed in all 59 Canucks video games to that time.
The 23-year-old, who re-signed with the membership on a three-year, $22.05-million within the low season, has 42 factors on this season, a lower in manufacturing in comparison with his first three NHL seasons.
The Canucks, who host the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday, are 3-2-1 of their final six video games. They host the Detroit Purple Wings on Thursday.
